I was sent a sample of the new granola bars by
Bakery on Main. "Soft and chewy" they are, indeed. They come in three flavors—peanut butter & jelly, chocolate almond, and apple cinnamon. All the flavors were nice and mild (not cloying or overpowering) and my only complaint was that they crumbled easily. I ended up crumbling one on purpose and mixing it into my regular dry cereal... delicious. It reminded me of my old favorite Trader Joe's cereal, I forget what it was called (Vanilla clusters?) but in my college apartment we called it "crack." Too. Good.
I think I would buy these again for traveling purposes. They are definitely tastier than a
Larabar, which is my usual go-to for emergency breakfast situations, but slightly less healthy (Larabars are literally just nuts & fruit) so they could be more of a travel-treat.
Don't forget Bakery on Main also makes a fantastic dry granola!
